Do you let your young children where what they want for school?

I'm not talking older kids dressing inappropriately, I'm talking little kids mismatching and wearing odd combination clothes. For example: My daughter wanted to "dress up" for her last day of preschool (starting Kindergarten next year) so she wore flowered tights, a purple plaid skirt underneath a pink tutu like skirt, a striped shirt.....and cowboy boots. I let her because she was happy and it's not like it hurts anything, but I noticed some of the parents looking at her weirdly cause she was the only one dressed like she dressed herself, lol. Do you let your younger kids go to school dressing in what they want?
