I want to be a cop somewhere in the south, what qualifications are sufficient?

I already have military experience (6 years plus U.S. Army infanty), armed security for two years, and on the police reserves for a major city (Minneapolis). What road should I take though if I want to jump right into a precint though? I am in a bind I need 8 more credits to reach my AA degree but it has a math requirement which I dread. Or I could do my Law Enforcement two year but I'll heve to take 15 credits this semester and try to do 21 credits worth of Skills training after that. Sound advice from anyone in the Law enforcement field somewhere down there would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!!!!!!!1
