I'm constipated what can i do.?

i tried to take a dump yesterday i sat down on the toilet a little came out then it stopped so i tried to push but it wouldn't move so i just wiped and stood up. then i took 3 stool softener pills i dont know the name of them and i drank a little cherry flavored laxative waited 3 or 4 hours and tried again but still the same thing but this time it hurt. i didnt see any blood but im starting to think i need to go see a doctor . right now as i type i can feel it just sittin there but now it hurts real bad when i try to use the bathroom i dont know what to do.
