Follow up with the :how do u deal with a verbally abusive manager...? how safe is it to report work abuse?

thanks for all the responses. been keeping track of all the incidents of my manager being verbally abusive. i got a report onetime that she grabbed one person by the arm and was witnessed by others. also, she accused another person without properly hearing the person's side onetime and labeled her when she wasnt around infront of her workmates. when she confronted me onetime about an incident wherein i was present, she just shouted at me in the hallway infront of everyone without hearing me out first. when i told her that her behavior is unacceptable she tried to make me brush my hurt aside but she has repeatedly been doing it again and again to everyone. been thinking of reporting her as we have a compliance hotline and we can report anonymously as so they say. but how safe is it for us to report? she is good in manning the workplace but not in staff-manager interpersonal relationships. we are paid well but this is the first time in my career life that i have come across such boss.
